Arvind Kejriwal and AAP, where are they headed...

A lot has happened in the past few months in AAP (Aam Aadmi Party), after Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi. A lot of promises seem to be at large with no concrete action plan in sight. After looking at the current war in AAP, I got reminded of TV ads on Doordarshan which talked of unity by showing a man breaking sticks one by one, but when they were made into a bunch the man was not able to break them.

You may feel why I am saying so, but if you look closely what is happening in Delhi, with AAP you will realise what I want to say. Are we looking at a fate like that of the Janta Dal, which could not digest the power dynamics served to them on platter and broke apart because individual agendas preceded common agendas. Something similar was seen in Assam, with the formation of the Assam Gana Parishad, but I am here not to talk about them. I am here looking at what is happening to AAP in Delhi.

They have got a thumping majority in the house and although BJP had a fair vote share, it was decimated and AAP became the supreme power. A party that rose out of the ashes of the Jan Lokpal Andolan, a lot of people connected with the party and I would not lie even I saw it as a ray of hope in the Political system which seems to be rotten to the core as of now. The election of AAP twice in a row seems to be something big and surely the party members have been ecstatic about the same. The mode of celebrations on the day of its win was a sight to watch with, Arvind Kejriwal (ArKe), Kumar Vishwas (KuVi), Prashant Bhushan (PraBhu), Yogendra Yadav (YoYa) etc.

But as Abraham Lincon had said, "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character give him power."

Something similar seems to be happening with AAP and ArKe right now, power has created massive rifts within the party and it seems that there is a sort of anarchy prevailing in the Party and people who are opposing are being selectively sidelined and publicly humiliated, it somehow reminds of "Game of Thrones" in which the kid with all the power publicly starts executing who ever seems to be having any power.

All this seems to similar to what happened to Hemu, the ruler who became the king after being the head of army of the Suri Dynasty. He believed in leading every war from the forefront; and that is what finally became his undoing, in the second battle of Panipath Hemu was leading his army atop an elephant and had a upper hand over Akbar's army, it is said that Akbar was instructed to retreat and head to Afganistan. But Hemu ran out of luck, an arrow hit him in the eye and he fell from the elephant his soldiers thought that the king is dead and gave up the fight as they were left without a leader, if Hemu would have trusted his aides and let someone else lead the amry while he guided them from the camps, his rule would have been the greatest, but as destiny had it, he was unceremoniously beheaded by the Mughals and his followers also met with a similar fate.

It seems Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, wants to be the single most powerful person in AAP, but is this the right way forward, should he not make a new command structure and himself focus on Delhi and set it up as an example which can be showcased in other elections, something Shri Narendra Modi, did with Gujrat.

Instead AAP, seems to have brought out its internal issues in public arena and thus hampering the parties image in public. Even ArKe, was not available for any form of comments during turbulent times in the party, as he was busy in a naturopathy treatment. What about the treatment of the Party Mr. Kejriwal. The party has just come to the helm of things and problems seem to have engulfed the party like a wild fire. YoYa and PraBhu, were amongst the founding members and major faces of the party, but they have been expelled and it seems a lot of selective expulsions are in line.

Time only will tell what is in store for AAP and ArKe..... As of now it seems that PraBhu and YoYa are all set to fight against the anarchy and the way they have been treated, like a fly fly thrown out of a tea mug.....

Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi asked to appear in Delhi Court on 7th of August 2014...

Delhi court has summoned Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, to apper in court on the 7th of August, in a case accusing them of cheating and criminal breach of trust. The case had been filed by Subramanian Swami, who is a leader of BJP. Mr. Swamy, has claimed that Gandhi's have taken advantage of their position to acquire prime properties in Delhi at throw away prices, the property that has come in question include the office of the National Herald, the Newspaper that closed down operations in 2008. The paper was started by the first Prime Minister of India in the year 1938.

The metropolitan magistrate Gomati Manocha, said "I found prima-facie evidence against all the accused. The court has directed them to appear before it (the court) on August 7"

Rahul Gandhi, had retaliated and said that he will sue Mr. Subramanian Swamy for defamation in 2012, when the case was first filled. Congress vice-president had described the acquisitions as baseless, defamatory, false and scandalous in nature.

In a statement, the Congress said, "In the National Herald matter, the persons named have not received any papers or information from the Court so far. They will seek legal advice and do the needful."

The claims by the BJP leader mention that a private company floated by Mr. Rahul Gandhi by the name of Young Indians, which inturn accuired a public limited company Associated Journals, which had a portfolio of properties worth around Rs. 1600 crore in Delhi alone, at a shockingly megre price of Rs. 50 lakhs only. Associated Journals was also setup by Jawaharlal Nehru.

The case presents another angle of gross misuse of power if proven right in the courts, in the past also there are several charges against Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, accusing him of acquiring properties in Haryana at throw prices and then selling them at huge premium to developers. Not sure of Ache Din promise by the BJP led government, but it seems that tough days are ahead for the Congress President and vice-president.

A per news reports doing rounds the following candidates are going to be sworn in today as ministers, as per comments that have come from associated parties Shiv Sena MP has stated that more alliance ministers would be given a cabinet birth once the the same is expanded a month from now.

There has been a lot of movement of senior BJP MP's, since Mr. Modi returned to Gujarat Bhavan after visiting Rajghat and meeting Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The overall list as below encompasses all senior leaders of the BJP but is missing out Shri Lal Krishna Advani, this seems to be an indication that Mr. Advani would be the speaker of the house.

Media Hungry Kejriwal Strikes Again

It seems that since the election results started to pan out, media completely discarded AAP and its leaders. Even Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, was not covered anywhere by media at all. The drama unfolded again on 21st May, 2014. When he refused to pay a bond of Rs. 10,000 only in the court and subsequently court ordered his arrest.

Now looking at the situation and the ruckas created by the handful of APP supports which are left, it looked like a highly orchestrated drama just to grab a media bite. All aap leaders tried to make it a point to register their presence in front of the cameras while violating law by protesting in front of the Tihar Jail, in Delhi.

Mr. Kejriwal it seems has started missing the limelight that endowed upon him when he fought the Delhi elections and won a major number of seats. He has also realised that AAP has lost all chances of ever winning in Delhi and thus he has also sent a letter to the Lt. Governor of Delhi asking him not to disolve the Delhi Vidhan Sabha; some of you might remeber it is the same Mr. Kejriwal, who blamed the Lt. Governor for not disolving the Vidhan Sabha when he first resigned. But now he has come back saying that it was a mistake and I should have asked the people what needs to be done.

What Arvind Ji did not realise is that people are not fools and they have understood that AAP, was over ambitious and started walking in the clouds one it won Delhi elections in a big way, AAP thought that Indian people will vote for them even if they discarded Delhi. Mr. Kejriwal who once sworn on his kids never to join politics and so on, became hungry and thought of himself as the next Indian Prime Minister, what he forgot was in a short span of time he had spent as Delhi CM, he did not do anything tangible.

Let us wait and watch what more does AAP and it's leader Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has in store as a part of the Media Circus they are looking to orchestrate.
